Il nome della dama raffigurata non è noto con certezza dagli studiosi e che si tratti di Monna Lisa dei Giocondo.
I contorni dei viso e della figura non sono ottenuti con linee nette,ma con un delicato passaggio da zone di iuce a zone d’ombra: una sorta di chiaroscuro
