This is a very noble act. The teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW that must be continued and done by his ummah. Not only help and eradicate poverty, but also become a sadaqah jariah for those who do it as you have mentioned above. May Allah reward your good and the good of those who do this noble thing.
