Hello there!
I'm a Melbourne based visual artist and currently a graphic design student. I've been a bit dormant with my arts practice since I graduated art school many moons ago, and I'm also an emerging designer. @mazzle has brought me to the wonderful world of Steemit.
The focus of my work has many different influences built around ideas relating to consumer culture, excess & indulgence and superficiality & narcissism. There was always a component of design influence in my work, but with my current study path, I'm finding I'm being more and more influenced by design especially in areas like typography.
As my visual arts practice has become more and more focussed on installation based work, I've also been looking into areas of design such as wayfinding and exhibition design. I enjoy working with space and hope to create more installation based work in future.
I'm only just starting to revive my arts practice, but it's coming slowly as I study full-time and also work a part-time retail job. Occasionally I get a few freelance graphic design jobs, but ultimately I hope to get out of retail as soon as manageable and start working in an art and/or design role and start building a career.
