"Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all" sounds off from Christian teaching that "laying your life for others is the greatest love of all" if the statements are to be taken literally. Reading between the lines, I think "learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all" is the foundation of "laying your life for others is the greatest love of all" because in loving or taking care of yourself is when you can be of good service and be a blessing to others.
