Hello from a brand new Steemit user! I'm happy to be joining this community, and very interested in learning more about what people do here. I've already been glad to see all the great photography from users all over the world. One of the things that attracted me to Steemit is that it genuinely seems to be an international community. I'm really looking forward to getting a wider range of perspectives than I have access to on other social media (cough, cough, Facebook, cough).

I plan to mostly post original photography and writing. I might even post some drawings if I ever start doodling again. If I find items of interest about nature and the environment, you may see me share some of those too.

To begin, here's a photo I took this summer near the Pacific coast:
