Welcome to my presentation, a trip to a place in gloom
Hey! How are you? I hope you are great. This first post that you will see below I will talk a little about myself and introducing myself to you. My name is Lineth Alejandra Rivas Arismendi, I'm 17 years old, I was born in Caracas - Venezuela. I'm a Bachelor of Science, although I go on the humanities side, I studied at the U.E.P. Ave Maria School. After finishing my studies in high school I decided to get into Graphic Design at the Digital Design Center Institute in Caracas - Chacao, I studied only one quarter, I could not continue the race because of country issues, you know, everything here increases and practically everything is dollarized, so I could not continue paying the Institute, with all the pain of the world and my mom's, I had to leave everything behind, that in fact, we were running out of students for the same reason that happened to me to me. Many people have asked me '' Hey, why do not you get into the Photography career? '', Because I just do not want it for several reasons; Even though photography is the main thing in me, I did not want to study it, because I like to learn on my own (only with photography) and I feel that I have more fun, and the second is that at universities that give photography I do not like them, although there are only two here in Venezuela (that I know of), which are the IUTIRLA and the UNEARTE. In the IUTIRLA I have been told that it has never been good there, there are others who say that it is (very few people have told me), to be honest, it never caught my attention, while there is a lack of Teachers because they are leaving the country (most of the universities in Venezuela there are many faults of teachers and students), that's why the IUTIRLA very rarely tend to teach depending on the subject (which incidentally, there They give Graphic Design but there is a waste of time). In the UNEARTE give quantities of humanities careers, and the truth is good, several have left satisfied by what I have heard on the street and in familiar people, I do not know, really, but I do not like to get involved with things of the Government since that university is part of it, I simply do not accept it.
Leaving aside my frustration for wanting to finish a career that I have admired in the last 3-4 years, I want to start talking about how and why I started to like photography and why I love to pose in front of a camera: Well, starting the year 2013, I started with the curiosity to take a few photos at home when I was alone, I took many pictures and I went up without thinking twice, although I was ashamed that my family saw those photos, who once hated to be in front of a camera, never smiled, never posed as it should be, but when a new year began; everything changed. In that same year, in July I traveled for the first time out of Venezuela, I was in the place I have always dreamed of being present since childhood, I was in Disney World, Orlando - Florida, with happiness I carried over with taking pictures like crazy, my love began to take pictures of what was around me, because besides that I have good memories of that trip, in any photo I transmitted joy and happiness, perhaps the photos do not show or be transmitted, but every time I see the picture of the castle that I just took, I get excited just thinking about the moment I took that picture; I was super nervous with my family, we finally made it.
In the 2014 was a year of crazy, and even more for the style that I had, I dressed like a 'little boy' and there are photos in which I pose as a man, but I will not upload, what a shame , but these photos I consider decent and very beautiful, in that year I started to increase the number of photos and fill them all on Facebook or Instagram of photos I took at home:

I almost forgot something that marked me in that year; my first photo session. I remember that I had the courage to tell my mom that I wanted a photo shoot, that I wanted to experience something a little more professional, and my mom decided to look for Venezuelan photographers in order to feel satisfied and happy, the photographer she got is a Venezuelan called 'Jorge Amin', really has some very spectacular photos, I loved the result of the photos, here a little of them:

You know? In the photos I always try to show what I really am, I like to express myself through the photos, be it gestures and / or dress, I feel that if there is not a photo that show a little about how my personality is, it makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable, like I'm not 100%.

In 2015 it was not a year that I took a lot of photos, since the acne began to get worse and I was not so satisfied with myself, but it was fun to take pictures of landscapes again, in that year I did a small 1-week photography course, I wanted to know the functions of my new camera 'Canon PowerShot SX400 IS', it was a very nice experience with people with a great talent and a good eye, which in fact, We were all women and under 15 years of age, there were 12 year old girls participating and they had some great pictures. I also started uploading photos I had taken throughout the year from 2015 to my Facebook page called '' Linxthfot. '' and my Instagram '' linxth ''. Honestly I did not have a specific style, I just wanted to take pictures of objects or places that caught my attention or that I simply have to take a picture for it, although for the photos that will see the style I took then it would go more so urban, without further ado, here are my favorite photos of 2015:
In the 2016 it was a little bit of everything, be it exterior or interior, but I started taking pictures of different people, which was new for me; look for specific models for my great ideas. I wanted to take that path of doing photo shoots to several acquaintances that make my head explode full of ideas, the results of each photo was magnificent, I really admire the work I did at that moment, which by the way, I started to change my style and way of editing the photos, that goes with the photos with a darker filter and some with a touch of 'vintage' (I am going to censor the eyes of a model that I will put below)
In the 2017 let's say it was one of the worst years that has happened to me, because, while I was doing my work outside the home, I was a victim of the gangster (my camera was stolen), they know the pain that I still have around here and that I do not have to do, which is a simple little camera that is lost in my life the year 2012, it is already in the camera, it occasionally stays stuck, the model of the camera is '' SAMSUNG PL150 / VLUU PL150 / SAMSUNG TL210 / SAMSUNG PL151 '', it was so The first time I had to go through the camera was because I did not stay because it was one of the things that kept me with the spirits up to the ceiling even though I felt lonely in the last school year, it was the only thing that distracted me when I was up to the floor, until I closed my Instagram account where I posted this as photos, it came at a time when the one that I said that I did not take pictures again until I left here, and I closed it because I started to lower the number of followers, in fact, I'm going down more and more. The photos that I took with that camera were more than the ones that made me tease, although I also took things at home:
After all the roll that happened, after graduating I remembered the camera that my grandfather left, I decided to use it while, to be able to take some photos because I felt that I needed it, I had to vent. Here in these photos you will see I have already completely changed my style, whether it be filter, ambience and 'look'. For four years I entered the world of 'metalcore' or 'hardcore', as time went by I met someone very special who also have the same tastes, in which right now is my boyfriend , in these 3 years of relationship we were entering a little more in what is the genre 'metal'. As it says in the description, I like the Death Metal, a little Black metal and Folk (I'm already entering a little more to that genre and I LOVE), Viking Metal, Symphonic Metal and classical music, but most of all gothic, dark, that makes me more inspired by the photos. The photos that I will see come out in most, since I was not sure whether to continue taking photos of other people, much less charge him. By the way, I also started to get into the part in what makeup is:
I never thought that it would fill me with ideas, even though I am happy taking pictures with my little camera, I decided to take pictures of others no matter what. The style that I will show you in my next posts will be the final one for my feed on Instagram and for the other portfolios, which in fact, I have an account on Behance and Flickr, then I leave the link to my pages.
The musical tastes have let me take, as I said before, the songs make me inspire for the photos, the theme that I really love and I'm super in love with what I'm doing, it's something old, a little medieval (a Although I do not have the right clothes), something gothic, something spooky, magical or fantasy (there will also be something a little more delicate), I never thought that several people would be delighted with the work that I started uploading on Instagram, since I uploaded a photo explaining why I closed the Instagram account and with a new feed. It seems strange to me that very few Venezuelan people like the subject that I grabbed, because here you see more the urban, because that is what people are looking for, sometimes it makes me sad that there are professional Venezuelan photographers who they make some super beautiful and magical photos and they are not known, but when you grab the theme of 'urban' you will gain thousands of followers, as I said, that is what you see and what the 'professional photographer' earns. I also include in them that one makes an effort so that the country sees different things and that is not always stuck in the same, but unfortunately here when something is fashionable, they stay there and fail to try other things. The work that I do with my camera is not easy because it's old, sometimes I'm ashamed that when I'm going to take a picture of someone it stays stuck, but I guess they understand what happened.
You know? Honestly I'm not so affected by the problem of losing followers, that the photos are not like the others, because that's how I feel good about having something different, something that really inspires me and I love it, I hope that out there someone see my jobs and tell me to work together, I do not lose them, I know that someday it will happen, because unfortunately here I have no future at all. Here I will leave some foticos that I took in this year, mostly they will be my photos (here you will see a bit about Viking makeup), since the photos that I took several people will upload them little by little, I hope you like the theme, the content of the photos I do not work so hard, I usually put lyrics of songs or phrases that agree, maybe in some photos write what I feel, maybe tomorrow, past, I do not know, upload one that I really have a lot to say, things that I have to vent on, since the picture says a lot about what I'm feeling right now.
I want to thank one of my best friends who supported me in the course of high school, senior year, Ave Maria School @erick.esquivel for recommending this platform, I feel I wrote a lot and I put many pictures, but I would like you to see the evolution that I did something that I have always loved and so open up a little before you, showing the passion I have to pose in front of a camera without shame and looking up.
