I hadn't heard that about YouTube - them only paying revenue if you have so many viewer hours, etc. Ridiculous! Does the fact that dtube is only relevant (for pay) for 7 days make up for that?

thank you very much. yeah it's not much fun on youtube anymore. maybe dtube doesn't make up for it, but it looks like dtube and steemit are a lot more fun and a nicer community. have you ever seen the hate comments on youtube! So maybe we won't make more money, but we will have more fun doing it. Unfortunately, resteeming only lets more people see the post, it doesn't reset your time. Whaleshares (just starting) seems to give you 14 days instead. A lot of people are crossposting there and here now - great time to get started there as well!

Yes, Discord has chat rooms plus instant messaging in general. You'll occasionally see invites lying around Steemit. :-)
