Proud Pessimist Average Guy

Hi Guys,

I'm Daniel Lee all the way from Malaysia. A regular Chinese guy who grow up speaking English as a native language. I've been working about 10 years in the IT Applications Administration and Systems Development for different companies.

I got quickly into the Internet and it felt like home - from games, chat rooms, social media, apps, softwares, websites, blogging, video, music, cryptocurrency, online services and everything. I love exploring the Internet so much it scares me. I mean, it literally does - the dark net, the addiction, the trolls, the horrible replies and mainly fear of doing stupid things.

I'm pretty active online, I mean - inactively active. Like I feel like hiding behind a pseudonym still sometimes and other times I am proud to be myself. I guess it's fear driving my actions.

As you could probably tell by now, I'm a pessimist. Saddest part is I'm so accustomed to it that I call it my home too. I'm happy to be a pessimist and in some way proud of it. Anyone like me here?

Anyhow, I'm a father of two and likes to run for exercise. I enjoy great technology and likes to be a part of being a user - the configurations, setup, tweaking things, finding different ways of doing something like surfing the Internet, staking/mining/trading cryptocurrency, playing games and others.

I enjoy a good chat and likes to be a general geek. Please, comment.

    Hello! Great intro about yourself! I kinda relate to how you feel online, except the whole 10 years in IT part, i have NO EXPERIENCE in IT at all.

    Been reading crypto whitepapers and email lists since 2015 though. There's a bunch of us Malaysians here in Steem, just tag your post #teammalaysia and we'll find your post!

    BTW I recommend you follow @coingecko here on Steem if you ever heard of them! You'll get all the crypto info from their cool website especially when it comes to stakinng/mining/trading and stuff!

    Welcome to Steemit lyenax. The official FAQ can be found here and has A LOT of information https://steemit.com/faq.html - Also remember, Steemit is just ONE of the sites built that uses Steem the blockchain. You should also check out DTube and DSound for starters and if you're a gamer, Splinterlands! There are many other cool apps but I can't list them all here, there's just too many! But I'd also like to mention Steempeak, it's a better blogging platform that has a lot of cool features. The latest project you should also check as a new member is a palnet! Welcome to the blockchain! :) Oh, and if you're interested in creating your own tokens or smart contracts, check Steem engine!
