Deceptive
descent into madness
of a synthetic sort

Doppelganger
bruised, beaten, bloodied
Left for dead

Supernova
All of the energy of the universe
At one point
The "Big Bang" or so they say

I've grown tired
Of asking myself for solutions
When I am the one laying the traps
My "God" is self-sabotage
I am revealed for who I truly am
So what?

You think you're better?
You probably are.
But that's not the point
The point is that I've been beating the same dead horse
For so long that I don't know anything different

Confinement is equally beautiful and chaotic
But it was never something I wanted
I wanted to live free
And I always told myself I would find a way
forge a way
carve a way
to get away
FROM THIS WRETCHED PLACE
But I never did
I NEVER DID

The story is almost over
Because it's a kid's book
And doesn't have very many pages
Let peace be with you
It's too late for me
And these abhorred words
Have taken more life
Than you may have ever
thought them to be capable of
