Piece by Piece: An investors's delusional mindset?

in #investing5 years ago

I love investments and anyone who does it and is seen to be doing it very well, is my guy. )ne big reason why I still root for Warren Buffet any day.

What do i even think the word investing/investor is?

This is my definition.
The investor to me is a delusional fellow because, he works at picking stuffs piece by piece from what he does and this is not because he put in very little, but because he knows that is the only way he can make something out of his very big investment.

Very simple definition because I don't like trouble...lol

I have often wondered why someone will invest say, $1million and then wait to take out around $10k daily over a long period of tome instead of picking up the entire sum invested in a day. Seed time and Harvest time comes to mind and that is why I say, the Investor is delusional.

I Feel Blessed!

The little drops mentality.

A good investor knows he has to keep at it little by little no matter what happens and even when he is failing, he will do whatever it takes to stay the course of action.
Don't you just envy the very successful people you read of and see? Yes, you should envy them because it took a mind of crazy and dedicated delusion to get them to where they are.

One of my earliest understanding of an investor's delusional mindset was through the painstaking dedication my grand parents put into farming, and as a young child then, I could never understand why they spent so much time returning to the farmland everyday for months only to tend the crops.

They would go to the farm everyday except Sundays. The routine is seriously followed; 5am to 6pm and during these times, they work, rest a bit, work, eat, work and do whatever it is folks do in the farm and this repeats for months.

As I grew up, I started understanding what they were doing and got to appreciate them even more and those lessons learnt taught me to understand the investor's mindset.

The progressions of life is tied into the understanding of what a man has as his belief system in principle and no matter how long it takes, he stays the course and bids his time until his returns comes complete and overflowing.

What is your understanding of the term "an investor"?

The simple definition of an investor is, "a person or organization that puts money into financial schemes, property, etc. with the expectation of achieving a profit."
Now if you look at the definition, it didn't say when, it just simply says "with the expectation of a profit," meaning, the profit making is speculative as it is not guaranteed and money may even get lost as it does most times.

The simple process of exchanging something for money is hard because, it is not always about creating a service but creating it at the right time with the hope there will be someone who truly needs it at the time you put it out.

You need to understand the investor's mindset and as you start the process to get into doing something that gives you the expectation of getting some profits, allow the process go full circle and hold the faith as tightly as you can because, the only thing you will hear in the journey is, "let go of the faith and do something else that is easy."

When next you venture into a business or investment, have a really great expectation and be certain about it. Do not bother with what people call you or tell you, agree you are delusional for a good reason and you will end up better than you started.
