To me, this is an unanswerable question.
There is NO appropriate choice for 10 years except for a farm, that you are going to farm, somewhere in the warmer states. Start planting trees
Everything else is going to change so drastically, that a 10 year timespan is way too much to even contemplate.
Think of it this way, in 10 years, crypto-currencies will pretty much be the standard for trading for goods. However, the crypto-currency world will be vastly different than what exists today. It will be like records vs mp3s. In this next 10 years, we will go from records, to tapes, to CDs, to mp3s.
So, in today's market of records, can you pick out the mp3s?
Further, we are going to see the end of many market manipulations.
The first will be silver when the new use cases start coming on-line. Where manufacturers will be offering $100s of dollars an ounce, in whatever form.
But, in that same time, gold will jump immensely in price, and then will collapse at it is found to be a useless metal, and there are literally tons of it lying around. Further, gold may become known as Soros money, we don't accept your kind in these parts.
So, it all comes down to, do not bet on one ship.
Be ready to abandon ship, even if you believe in its sea worthiness.
Be flexible.
