In the Quran Allah asks us to reflect upon on existence

Have they not reflected upon their own being? Allah created the heavens and the earth and whatever lies between them in Truth and for an appointed time. Yet many of the people are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord.

were they created by nothing, or are they creators? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no firm belief.

Does the human being not remember that We created him before, when he was nothing?

We did not create the heaven and the earth and everything between them in vain. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve.
