Una giornata a Matera
Oggi è 2 giugno, festa della Repubblica e festa dello Stato. Abbiamo deciso di trascorrere la giornata nella città capitale della cultura 2019, Matera. La città dei Sassi, costruita sul fianco di una collina, ha un centro storico a dir poco magico. Tutte le abitazioni sono costruite prettamente in pietra, così come le strade, un misto di salite e discese vertiginose, con qualche pericolo di caduta o di scivolamento su pietre particolarmente lisce.
Il clima che si respira è davvero bello. Una marea di turisti che si diramano tra le varie stradine del centro storico. Da alcuni balcone panoramico è possibile seguire con lo sguardo le persone come fossero tante formiche che si adoperano a raccogliere provviste per l'inverno. Ogni piazzetta è occupata da artisti di strada che intrattengono i turisti tra palloncini, musica e divertimento.
Molti artigiani hanno trasformato il loro laboratorio in un negozio, in cui il prodotto è creato in tempo reale e le persone incuriosite si accalcano all'ingresso di ogni locale artigianale. Matera è la capitale europea ed il motivo è semplice: chi la visita, non può che rimanere incantato da questo paese umile e pieno di cultura millenaria.

D'accordissimo con te, Matera è davvero bella e i sassi molto suggestivi e la Basilicata ha tanti posti belli da visitare e in alcuni casi, perchè poco conosciuti, da scoprire.
