How can a poor man stands such times and live

in #ita5 years ago

Dicevo, il 4 dicembre 1929 a New York City.

English

I found this beautiful version recorded by Ry Cooder in the midst of its strength, plays in a divine way. The solo is crazy, just hear his guitar, the band hardly there in the background, but believe me worth it until the last note. The lyrics then, do we like to discuss about it ?? jajajaja

This Blues was written during the Great American Depression, sung by Woodie Guthrie, then by Bruce Springsteen.

On December 4, 1929 in New York, Blind Alfred Reed, with his violin, sang for the first time this song composed by himself. It is considered as a first example of a song of protest, and Ry Cooder... well, useless to say that this, the 1974's one, is the most beautiful version that exists, good listening.
