Festa di Battesimo... !!!

Alcune sere fa, assieme ai miei amici e colleghi musicisti, ho avuto il piacere di suonare alla festa di battesimo di una bambina. Dopo la cerimonia religiosa, i genitori hanno ringraziato gli invitati presso l'Hotel Pomara di San Michele di Ganzaria. Vi allego alcune foto relative alla location esterna del locale e della preparazione degli strumenti. Consiglio a tutti coloro che trascorrono le vacanze in Sicilia, di trascorrere alcuni giorni presso tale struttura. l'Hotel infatti è molto bello, si mangia bene, ci si può riposare in piscina e visitare, a pochi chilometri di distanza, la bellissima villa romana del casale presso Piazza Armerina. La band, formata da 5 elementi (voce, batteria, basso, chitarra e tastiere), ha arricchito i festeggiamenti suonando circa 40 pezzi di diversi generi musicali (jazz, bosanova, pop, disco dance). quando suoni, hai il termometro delle feste: dal palco, riesci a capire, in maniera privilegiata, se gli invitati si divertono ed è bello, come in questa circostanza, renderti conto che, con la tua musica, riesci ad allietare gli astanti e quindi a dare valore aggiunto ad una festa e soprattutto, a rendere felice gli organizzatori della festa che, fidandoti di te, ti scelgono per i propri eventi importanti. Una cosa è certa: sopo tanti anni che suono, ho capito che il pubblico si diverte se tu stesso, mentre suoni, ti diverti. Ogni volta che mi diverto suonando, ciò arriva alla gente che capisce ciò, entra in sintonia con te e quindi apprezza e si diverte. Cosa c'è di più relazionante ed empatico della musica? credo niente. La musica è il luogo degli incontri per eccellenza dove si crea bellezza quando suoni e benessere quando ascolti. Tutto può dividere: la religione, la politica, la morale, le divergenze culturali ma non la musica. Se suoni un bel pezzo jazz, tutti - neri o bianchi che siano - ascoltano e suonano con te con le vibrazioni del proprio corpo. Se suoni una bella ballad, tutti si commuovono - buoni o cattivi che siano ...Abbiamo suonato 40 pezzi per circa tre ore ma, per noi che ci divertivamo, sono sembrati pochi minuti...ed è stata subito notte...e purtroppo, si è fatta ora di smontare gli strumenti in attesa di un altro viaggio verso un altra festa, un'altro luogo d'incontro, un nuovo pentagramma da vivere e suonare. Si suonare: questo so fare e questo voglio fare...fino all'ultima nota della mia vita.

Some nights ago, together with my friends and fellow musicians, I had the pleasure of playing at a child's baptism party. After the religious ceremony, the parents thanked the guests at the Hotel Pomara in San Michele di Ganzaria. I am attaching some photos related to the external location of the room and the preparation of the instruments. I recommend to all those who spend their holidays in Sicily, to spend a few days at this facility. in fact the Hotel is very nice, you eat well, you can rest in the pool and visit, a few kilometers away, the beautiful Roman villa of the farmhouse near Piazza Armerina. The band, consisting of 5 elements (vocals, drums, bass, guitar and keyboards), has enriched the festivities playing around 40 pieces of different musical genres (jazz, bosanova, pop, disco dance). when you play, you have the thermometer of the parties: from the stage, you can understand, in a privileged way, if the guests have fun and it's nice, as in this circumstance, realize that, with your music, you can cheer the bystanders and then to give added value to a party and above all, to make happy the organizers of the party that, trusting you, choose you for your important events. one thing is certain: after so many years that I play, I have understood that the audience has fun if you yourself, while you are playing, have fun. every time I enjoy playing, it comes to people who understand that, get in tune with you and then appreciate and have fun. What's more related and empathetic than music? I believe nothing. Music is the meeting place par excellence where beauty is created when you play and feel good when you listen. Everything can divide: religion, politics, morality, cultural divergences but not music. If you play a nice jazz piece, everyone - black or white they are - listen and play with you with the vibrations of your body. If you play a beautiful ballad, everyone is moved - good or bad they are ... We played 40 pieces for about three hours but, for us that we had fun, they seemed a few minutes ... and it was immediately night ... and unfortunately, it is now time to dismantle the instruments waiting for another trip to another party, another meeting place, a new pentagram to live and play. You play: I can do this and I want to do it ... until the last note of my life.
