La stagione NBA si è ormai conclusa da alcuni mesi ed anche io voglio fare un bilancio.
Nell'episodio di oggi andrò a premiare le figure (giocatori o squadre) che hanno fatto meglio durante questa stagione. Cercherò ovviamente di spiegarvi quelle che sono le mie ragioni e soprattutto capire perché si trovino qui e in una posizione più in alto o più in basso.
Come sempre, in questo tipo di (mie) classifiche, il risultato dei soggetti coinvolti e la loro posizione all'interno della TOP 5 dipendono esclusivamente da mie opinioni personali e non vogliono essere certo decisioni assoluto. Now NBA season has finished and I want to give some votes.

5.Anthony Davis
Gli New Orleans Pelicans erano molto probabilmente una delle squadre potenzialmente favorite ad arrivare tra le migliori 5-6 nella costa Ovest, poiché nel proprio roster vantavano due giocatori (The Twin Towers) come DeMarcus Cousins e Anthony Davis. A poche settimane dalla fine della regular-season il primo si è rotto il tendine d'Achille ed ha lasciato Davis completamente da solo. La capacità di quest'ultimo si è vista proprio da quel momento: sono migliorate moltissimo le sue statistiche ed anche quelle dei suoi compagni di squadra, i quali si sono visti delegare gara dopo gara nuove responsabilità.
Anthony Davis molto probabilmente è stato il miglior giocatore di fine stagione e dei quarti di finale dei play-off sul lato difensivo ed offensivo. 4.Houston Rockets
Molti si meraviglieranno nel trovare la squadra di Houston in una posizione così bassa. Cerchiamo di capire come mai l'ho posizionata solo in quarta posizione.
Dobbiamo partire dal presupposto che i Rockets sono stati costruiti in estate per vincere l'anello e per avere buone possibilità contro Golden State. I campioni in carica. Aver inserito in squadra un giocatore del calibro di Chris Paul ha sicuramente migliorato la qualità della squadra.
Dopo la prima posizione nella Western Conference alla fine della regular season ed aver dimostrato buone possibilità contro i Warriors, il cammino nei play-off da parte della squadra texana ha subito un rallentamento, in particolare nella serie contro gli Utah Jazz, che con il loro sistema difensivo di ottimo livello, hanno impensierito non poco Harden ed i suoi compagni. La delusione più grossa è avvenuta però in finale di conference, proprio contro Golden State: la serie è stata per lunghi tratti in mano a Houston, ma gara 7 ha visto crollare l'intera forza dei Rockets: tutte le cose belle fatte durate la stagione fino a quel momento sono andate perse con il vento. In particolare hanno perso la loro migliore arma in quella partita: il tiro da 3 punti.
La stagione non è quindi da considerarsi conclusa positivamente per gli Houston Rockets, che ancora quest'anno tornano a casa senza niente e con l'obbligo di voltare lo sguardo alla prossima stagione.

Onore a quest'uomo. Un allenatore che ha dovuto sopperire per tutta la stagione ad essenze molto importanti: l'infortunio all'esordio di Gordon Hayward e dopo di Kyre Irving avrebbero messo in ginocchio qualsiasi staff, ma non quello dei Boston Celtics.
Molto spesso la squadra di Stevens ha mostrato grandi carenze in zona offensiva e soprattutto poche idee riguardo chi dovesse prendersi tiri in momenti anche importanti della gara. Durante la stagione questi problemi sono stati arginati.
La bravura del coach di Boston è stata quella di non cercare ciò che i suoi giocatori non avessero, ma di valorizzare invece le loro abilità: la struttura difensiva dei Celtics ha permesso loro di annientare una squadra di giovani promesse come i Philadelphia 76ers e di mettere in crisi anche i Cleveland Cavaliers.
L'incantesimo è finito prima del gran finale, ma questa stagione è da considerarsi positiva per Stevens, che è uscito con un gruppo molto olido e giovane, che con i giusti innesti e recuperi in estate può diventare una squadra da titolo.

I campioni in carica, vincitori dell'anello per il secondo anno consecutivo non sono in prima posizione? Come è possibile tutto ciò?
Sicuramente una delle squadre più forti di sempre, per la quale però non ho mai nutrito grande simpatia. Molto probabiomente perché vincere così tanto, tende a questo.
Quest'anno, onestamente, la stagione di GS non è stata niente di particolare. Hanno finito in seconda posizione la regular-season e spesso sono sembrati al di sotto delle loro capacità. Nei play-off contro Houston hanno dimostrato di fare molta fatica e molto probabilmente se Houston non si fosse suicidata, non sarebbero i campioni. I (de)meriti sono quindi degli altri. Parliamo dei campioni in carica, quindi è ovvio che i meriti siano soprattutto loro. Vogliamo però parlare delle finali ed in particolare della prima partita: anche in questo caso i Cavs hanno perso loro stessi la partita e non per meriti degli Warriors: un tiro libero di Hill o un tiro allo scadere di Smith potevano cambiare la serie (probabilmente non la squadra vincitrice del titolo).

La stagione migliore di sempre per the Chosen One.
La stagione della consacrazione come miglior giocatore di sempre. Senza dubbi!. Negli anni passati gli era stato detto che non fosse un giocatore decisivo: quest'anno ha vinto delle gare con tiri decisivi. LeBron James purtroppo in questa stagione, dalla prima gara fino alle Finals ha combattuto ogni sera da solo. Un giocatore di 33 anni che ha dominato la NBA, dimostrandosi un giocatore che nessuno potesse fermare, inserendo tantissimi aspetti al suo gioco: tiri in allontanamento, visione di gioco, verticalità, potenza.
Non riusciremo mai a descrivere questo giocatore abbastanza bene da pareggiare le sue capacità.
Non posizionarlo al primo posto non sarebbe stato giusto per lui, che pur non vincendo niente ha guadagnato il titolo di leggenda. Probabilmente quest'anno lascerà Cleveland: la terra che lo ha cresciuto, ma che non è riuscita a sostenerlo nella sua stagione: compagni, staff e dirigenza si sono troppo spesso affidati a lui senza proporgli alternative valide a raggiungere il titolo.

Mi trovi daccordo su tutta la linea.
LBJ è stato stratosferico, portare quella squadraccia in finale giocando il miglior basket di sempre a 33 anni è follia pura.
Golden State una macchina da guerra.
Brad Stevens ha fatto un miracolo.
Houston ad un passo dal paradiso.
Monociglio senza Cousins ha travolto Portland e dato filo da torcere a GSW.
Chi manca all'appello?
Forse Toronto e la sua straordinaria regular season?

Secondo me è mancato Curry quest'anno...
ovvero...non ha giocato al suo livello.
LeBron...qualsiasi superlativo gli sta stretto ormai.

Curry ai Playoff non è stato dominante come sempre ma ha saputo giocare di squadra secondo me. La grande vittoria dei Warriors è stata saper mettere tutte le individualità al servizio della squadra e non viceversa.
L'anno prossimo prevedo sangue e morte ad Ovest con Boston che giganteggia ad Est e vince le Finals ancora contro GoldeN State.
Occhio a Houston...Melo potrebbe arrivare in Texas e con CP3 ed Harden potrebbe essere letale, senza peso sulle spalle.
Spendo due parole su Carmelo a Houston: primo non hanno spazio salariale, secondo con due giocatori che tengono molto la palla in mano come Harden e Curry i Rockets avrebbero bisogno di gregari, capaci di farsi trovare pronti sugli scarichi. Magari poi anche capaci di difendere, visto le carenze del barba.
Carmelo a Houston fa la fine che ha fatto lo scorso anno ad OKC: non vede boccia!
Melo va houston in stile DMC a GSW. Harden e cp3 non sono come westbrook.
Westbrook gioca per fare statistica.
Harden gioca per vincere.
Melo se si convince di essere un terzo violino è tanta roba.

La stagione regolare di Curry sicuramente insufficiente, ma nel play-off è saputo uscir fuori quando Durant è calato leggermente. Dal mio punto di vista, purtroppo, l'anello il prossimo anno resta a GS, visto l'arrivo di Cousins agli Warriors.
