The well of the little lion is located in Piazza della Sala, in my city: Pistoia in Tuscany.
Piazza della Sala is one of the oldest squares in the city, of medieval origin and today attracts many tourists from all over the world for its particular shape and beauty. At night it is an important center for youth movida.

Il pozzo del leoncino è situato in piazza della Sala, nella mia città: Pistoia in Toscana.
Piazza della sala è una delle più antiche piazze della città, di origine medievale ad oggi attira molti turisti da tutto il mondo per la sua forma particolare e per la sua bellezza. Di notte è un importante centro per la movida giovanile.

The well of the lion was located and is located in the center of the square, in the past the square was the center of a large market where they sold products of butcher for which the well was very used, when the square was paved the well was closed.

In 400 it was restored and was first moved to the cathedral square where it was used for monumental purposes since it was no longer usable.

Il pozzo del leoncino era situato ed è situato nel centro della piazza, in passato la piazza era centro di un grande mercato dove si vendeva prodotti di macelleria per i quali il pozzo era molto usato, quando la piazza venne pavimentata il pozzo venne chiuso.
Nel 400 fu restaurato e prima venne spostato in piazza del duomo dove fu usato per scopi monumentali visto che non era più utilizzabile.

A few days ago the well was fenced because of the frequent acts of vandalism and of the incivility of the people who ruined him by sitting above it and spoiled it with shoes and arms.

The little lion is divided into three rows of white and green marble and has the coats of arms of Florence and Pistoia on it.
The well is very nice to see, usually in the evening when the square is illuminated.

Alcuni giorni fa il Leoncino è stato recintato per i frequenti atti di vandalismo e per l' inciviltà dei paesani che lo hanno rovinato sedendoci sopra, sciupandolo con scarpe e braccia.

Il leoncino è suddiviso in tre righe di marmo bianco e verde e ha su di sé gli stemmi di Firenze e Pistoia.
Il pozzo è molto bello da vedere, specialmente la sera quando la piazza è illuminata.
