Io sto bene, fa molto caldo ma amo questo periodo dell’anno. C’è sempre il sole e le mie strade sono sempre illuminate e da una bella luce arancione.
Oggi vi presento un monumento simbolo non solo mio, ma di tutta l’Italia, e se siete da queste parti vi consiglio assolutamente di andarlo a visitare in queste belle giornate.
Lui è mister colosseo! Conosciuto anche come Anfiteatro Flavio, ed è l’anfiteatro più grande mai costruito. La sua costruzione iniziò sotto l’imperatore Vespasiano intorno al 70 d.C. e fu completato dal suo successore Tito nell’anno 80. Misura 50 metri di altezza e 156 di larghezza. Archi e volte sono i protagonisti di tutta la costruzione, e disponeva di 80 entrate e uscite.
76 di queste erano accessibili al popolo, mentre 4 erano riservate all’imperatore e ai potenti: i VIP 😊
Il piano dell’arena era fatto di legno e ricoperto di sabbia, e intorno c’erano le gradinate degli spettatori. Ricordo che il pubblico era rumoroso e usciva sempre soddisfatto e contento. C’era sempre da divertirsi lì dentro! Ovviamente i posti migliori erano riservati ai senatori, ma tutti assistevano a un grande spettacolo.
Pensate che mr. Colosseo poteva ospitare fino a 70000 persone! Come uno stadio di calcio. Ma invece di una partita di calcio si poteva assistere a lotte tra gladiatori, esecuzioni di condannati e caccia alle bestie feroci.
Nel corso dei secoli è stato utilizzato per vari scopi, anche come cava di materiali. Oggi potete ammirarlo da fuori, o visitare l’interno con una guida che vi spiega tante cose interessanti. Ha quasi 2000 anni, ma è invecchiato bene, non trovate?

He is mister colosseum! Also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it is the largest amphitheater ever built. Its construction began under the emperor Vespasiano around 70 AD. and was completed by his successor Titus in the year 80. Measure 50 meters in height and 156 in width. Over the centuries it has been used for various purposes, including as a quarry of materials. Today you can admire it from the outside, or visit the interior with a guide that explains many interesting things. It's almost 2000 years old, but it's aged well, do not you find it?
