We are pleased to announce the release of ivoted-steem.info, a new website, complementary to the #ivoted initiative, which will rassemble and archive articles about witnesses.
On this blog, we will:
- Introduce all active witnesses to the public again. For that witnesses can get in touch with us and send a small introductory text. This text will be followed by a link to their witness application post,
- Display all the witnesses in an easy way and all in one place (not limited to te TOP 50),
- Organize opinion polls about the participants' priorities.
About Witnesses
All the active witnesses, without exception, will have their article on the blog.
On the "WITNESSES" page, users will be able to see all the active witnesses of the Steem Network, read their programs and choose their witnesses easily. The order of appearance will be random, to encourage people to discover new witnesses and not just "vote mechanically" for the first 30.
People will also be able to vote for witnesses directly from the blog using SteemConnect. An internal search engine will also be available.
Why this blog ?
Our communication line will stay the same : every thing we will do will be on the Steem network. We're just using this other medium to do things that aren't possible on Steemit : random display of the witnesses, easy archives and future opinion polls.
It won't be an independent blog, it will just be a platform rassembling everything linked to the #ivoted initiative and links to the post on Steemit (in fact, Busy will be used for technical reasons).
Call to delegation
As our initiative is based rewarding by upvotes people who vote, we need SP. All delegations are welcome, I think I don't need to explain how it works, so I'll just say we count on you.
Bot Update
We currently have 21 participants totalling 515 witness votes. As stated in our Policy, the upvoting by this account will begin when participants total 2500 witness votes.
We might lower this threshold to accelerate the process, and maybe the first upvotes will increase our visibility. We will decide after the week-end.

What do you think about translating some info about this initiative and publishing as a separate post on non-English channels? I could do the Polish version for example and publish with #polish tag. The idea of deeper engagement of the community is appealing and there are many non-English speaking communities on steem (-it).
You're totally right. We,ve been asked french translations too.
So I will try to compile all relevant info in one post and will publish it within a day or two with #polish and some other national tags :-)

Can I use the graphics/ivoted banner/logo??? Assuming that you are the right person to ask :-) Of course will link to the source. Just that #polish community seems to be overreacting any alledged copyrights violations so want to make sure

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:
It should be independent instead of independant.There are several other initiatives you may want to get involved with also. @shadowspub does a weekly witness talk radio show. @aggroed has a witness talk on minnow support discord. @scottcbusiness is organizing the witness communication assembly.
And in a few months, I was thinking of doing some 1 on 1 interviews depending on if I get my streaming studio set up for it.
Witness voting is something I'm encouraging with the development of my onboarding site coming end of summer.
I like your blog idea too. I think if we all know about each other and if you keep your site a central place for all witness related links and things, like a Witness Hub of sorts... that could really make massive change.
@shadowspub does a monthly witness chat where all witnesses are invited to attend and interact with the community. Her weekly show is Pimp Your Post Thursday which often includes discussions about witnesses, and other subjects. The next chat is June 16th at 11am EDT / 1500 UTC on the Steemit Ramble Discord
