Izakaya Akira
We went to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday in a newly refurbished “eleven50” building in urban Honolulu. It was Izakaya Akira’s soft opening. The furnishings were still bare, as you can see the wall behind my friend. However, the sashimi was beautifully plated and steamed fish were sweetly glazed. For a savory food fan like myself, I was amazed that the fish wasn’t dessert.
