Doll's Day 🎎 - Hinamatsuri

It's Doll's Day (Girls' Day) today.

I don't know about that so much.
My parents, especially my mom and grandma, set up Hina dolls every at the end of February.
We drink Amazake (Sweet low-alcohol) on March 3rd. Also, We eat Hina-arare (Sweet Snuck), Hishi-mochi (Square mochi).
We pray that girls will grow up healthily.

So why we set up the dolls?

According to Wikipedia, this day started from about 1,300 years ago.
However, it is said it was Edo period that widespread.

These dolls have an effect of amulet.

Long time ago, children died easliy.
So, there are many festivals in Japan for children.
For example, there is Children's Day (Boy's Day) on May 5th.
