Roger Ver: Bitcoin Cash Coming to "Tens of Thousands" of Convenience Stores in Japan

In one of his recent vlogs for Bitcoin.com, Ver (aka "Bitcoin Jesus") stated:

“I didn’t post it or talk about it publically yet but we just had a meeting over this week; Bitcoin Cash is coming to tens of thousands of convenient stores in Japan and you’ll be able to buy anything in the entire convenient store with Bitcoin Cash which means including like paying your electric bill”

If this is true, this is very big news for BCH, the land of the rising sun, and the crypto space in general. For those who may be unfamiliar, the function of the convenience store here in Japan is slightly different than that of those commonly found overseas.

Here, a convenience store--or konbini, as it is called in Japanese--is not only a place to buy a donut, a coffee, and some daily necessities for tomorrow, but also a hub of all kinds of other economic activity. People use these stores to buy concert tickets, pay their rent and utilities, send and receive packages, and the list goes on.

Japanese culture is already well-invested in the virtual currency/point card system of discounts, memberships, and sales. To see mainstream adoption of Bitcoin Cash at these establishments would have a huge effect not only on the value of BCH, but on virtually every aspect of the crypto market in general. With Japan currently putting out the third highest GDP in the world, mainstream adoption of a crypto token such as Bitcoin Cash would likely have manifold and huge effects on the crypto space worldwide.
