もしも宇宙に投げ出されたら・If you were hurled off into space
面白い話があります。
「真っ暗闇の宇宙にたった一人ぼっちで一分だけ漂っていなさい。一分後に地球にもどしてあげます。これに耐えることができたら10億円あげます。」
＜設定＞
・宇宙での一分は地球上での10年に感じる。
・地球に帰った時、肉体はまったく老化していない。
・宇宙では目を開けているのか閉じているのか分からないくらい光がない。
・宇宙では自分以外に誰も存在しない。
・地球に戻ったら、暗やみで10年耐えたという記憶は残るが、心身ともに健全なままでいられる。
・宇宙空間でリタイヤしたい、と思ったらすぐに申し出ることができる。その代り、10億円は手に入らないし、暗やみが怖い、という後遺症が残ってしまう。
・エントリーしている人は一人いるが、宇宙空間でその人と一緒に過ごすことはできない。
・過去に、この実験に耐えられた人がいるかどうかは聞くことはできない。
★ 空腹感を感じることがないので、食べる必要がない。
＜答＞
１、 いくらお金を積まれても絶対にやらない。
２、 後遺症が怖いのでやらない。
３、 地球に帰ってきたら心身ともに健康でいられるので、やる。
４、 エントリーしている人がいるのだから自分もできると思って申し込む。
５、 誰が何と言おうとやる。
こんなヘンテコな設定を考えました。私の答えは、１番で、絶対にやりません。こんな設定が本当に存在するとしたら、エントリーする人がいると思いますか？

I will give you an interesting story.
“Why don’t you float in space alone? I will take you back to the earth in one minute. If you endure this pain, I will give you one billion dollars.”
・One minute in space is felt like a decade in the earth. You have to be so patient.
・When you come back to the earth, your body has not aged at all.
・Space is pitch-dark, you cannot see anything as if you were closing your eyes.
・In space, there is nobody besides you.
・When you come back to the earth, you have a memory of your experience. But you are sound in both mind and body.
・If you want to stop your challenge, you can give up soon. Instead of that, you cannot get one billion dollars, and you will have an aftereffect of nyctophobia.
・One person already entered this challenge. But you will not be able to be with him in space.
・You cannot ask if he or she has ever succeeded in getting one billion dollars or not.
１、 No matter how much money I can get, I will never challenge it.
２、 I cannot challenge it because I am afraid of an aftereffect.
３、 I do challenge it because I will be sound in both mind and body after I come back to the earth.
４、 I will enter the challenge because one person already entered. I think I can do it as well.
５、 No matter what anyone says, I do challenge it.
I made up such a strange story. My answer is 1. I will never challenge it. If this story is true, do you think that there is somebody who wants to challenge it?

私も１を選びました。光がない中で実質ひとりぼっちで１０年もの時間が経つのを待つなんて考えられないです(>_<)
地球での時間が一分であっても、10年に感じる、と聞くとひるんでしまいますよね。
私も1かな。
ただ、現状に不満や不安、楽しみとかを感じなくなる生活を送ってるならば、捨て身の覚悟で? 3とかには、なるかもしれませんね。。
10億円だし、地球では一分しかたってないし、、、、何事もなかったかのように10億円で遊んで暮らすってのもいいかも？
面白いですね。
10年間、、、、本もなく1人で漂っているだけであれば発狂死してしまいそうなので1です。
美味しいご飯もないんですよね。。。。
設定のところに書くのを忘れていました。空腹感を感じないので食べなくて済む、ということです。
それにしても、何もすることがなくて、何も見えなくて、聞こえなくて、10年とは、マジキチですね。地球では一分、ということにしても、ほとんどの人がNOと答えますね。
私も1です。条件を見る限り失うものはないはずなのに、みんな1ですね。面白いです。

人間は、孤独に恐怖を感じる生き物ですから、みんな怖いんでしょうね。私も怖いです^^
I might take this challenge, if it were possible and I could verify all the conditions were true. Not having any sensory input for one minute could possibly completely relax your mind, similar to a floatation tank. You might actually come back in better condition than when you left.
But an actual trip to space isn't like this. You'd be exposed to radiation, face the danger of traveling in a rocket, and all sorts of other perils. No thanks.

Not courageous. If you have ever experienced a floatation tank, or read about it, they say that when there's no input to your senses it causes a state of deep relaxation.
Is it an isolation tank? I think that no input to our sense causes madness. But It is nice to make us meditate and relax as I read about it.
as far as my config is concerned, only on minute is felt like a decade, so I said ,,,, you are courageous. ^^ so long relaxation for a decade^^
Yeah, same thing. It might cause madness if you were in there for ten years, but most people only spend a couple of hours.
As far as time, with no sensory input I'm not sure how long it would feel like. Our sense of time is largely based on sensory input. But if one minute is guaranteed to feel like ten years, no thanks.
I had the same feeling.
