GOD'S KINGDOM PATTERN

“AND SAID TO THEM, “Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; AND WHOEVER RECEIVES ME [Jesus] RECEIVES HIM WHO SENT ME. For he who is least among you all will be great.”
Luke 9:48 (NKJV)
God’s Kingdom pattern is completely different from the pattern of the world. Someone leading in the gathering of believers, he or she should be accepted, seeing him or her as Christ Jesus Himself. In the passage, Jesus said whoever accepted or received a little child in His name, the person or people have received Him, and whoever received Him, Jesus, has received the One Who sent Him—God the Father.

Thus, a leader in the gathering of believers should not be looked down upon, regardless of his or her age. Spiritual age is higher than biological age, when it comes to the things of God’s Kingdom. That being said, whoever wants to lead or be a leader should be ready to serve others. Servanthood is the pattern or a way to become a leader in God’s Kingdom or vineyard: “and He [Jesus] said to them, “the kings of the gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’ but not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I [Jesus] am among you as the one who serves”
(Luke 22:25–27 NKJV).
“For even the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45 NKJV).
