Former Tamilnadu CM Karunanidhi passes away at 94

From cinema to politics, M karunanidhi swayed Tamilnadu for a long long time.
He was president of Dravida Munnetra kazhagam(DMK) regional party. At the age of 94, he passed away today on 7th August.
With Karunanidhi death tamilnadu politics party lost two personalities including Jaylalithaa.
He was born on 3 june 1924 as Dakshinamoorthy and married thrice in his life and he is having total six children. He was popularly known as "Kalaignar". This title was given by Mr Radha which literally translates to Artist. Krunanidhi earned a lots of love and massive respect in the field of literature and poetry. He has written many scripts for Tamil films. Karunanidhi first wrote a script for movie Rajakumari in 1947 and his last script was for Illaingan came in 2010.
In recent years he was fighting corruption charges against him and his family members. The CBI arrested his daughter Kanimozgi in 2011 who is also a Rajya Sabha MP and former telecom minister A Raja , a member of DMK in connection with 2G scam. Karunanidhi served as Chief minister of the state Tamilnadu for 5 times in the period of 1969-2011 period.
