The Golden State Warriors take Game 1 against the Houston Rockets!

Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals is here. The dream matchup between to NBA powerhouses: the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets. This series should be a good one. Both teams match up very well in my opinion. They can score points in bunches. James Harden is likely the league's MVP and he is playing unbelievable basketball. His teammate, Chris Paul, is a future Hall of Famer who can take over a game at any time. Paul can dominate a game with scoring or passing. But to not be out done are the Golden State Warriors. They are loaded with talent from the Point Guard spot to the Power Foward position. Their bench is also one of the best in the NBA (Livingston, Andrew Iguodala, David West, etc) With the conclusion of Game 1 in the books, the Warriors draw first blood with a 119-106 win over the Rockets. The Warriors had a different game plan as they slowed the game down and force the Rockets to play at their pace. Golden State spreaded the ball around and play mostly an half court style of basketball. Durant was a nightmare for the Rockets as he scored a team high 37 points. Steph Curry scored a solid 18 points and Klay scored 28 points. Harden lead the Rockets with a game high 41 points, but sadly it wasn't enough. The Rockets will have to figure out how to stop Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. With that said, they have to also hope Curry doesn't become a factor if they are able to slow Durant/Thompson as the series progress. Game 2 is Wednesday in Houston.
