I bet you didn't know this about sheep.

So I was browsing through snapchat shows right. I was simply relaxing and browsing through all these insane content people make for snapchat and have shows and subscribers and get paid yadi yada. Most of it is absolute nonsense and doesn't deserve the time of day. But then I came across something that was very oddly satisfying. It was a show where these people sheer sheep for wool. Kinda cool. Coz I have never seen how a sheep is sheered. It was very satisfying to watch this huge clump or even a blanket of wool simply coming off the sheep.
Then there was this special sheep they had found wandering. It was humongous. It had years of unshaved wool growing and pretty much taking over the animal itself.
Turns out that we have selectively bred sheep for so long and so carefully that nowadays almost any shep you see anywhere in the world was selectively bred for higher wool yields.
So what does that mean?
It means that a sheep can actually die if their wool isn't shaved. The wool grows so much that it sometimes blinds the animal and usually the sheep dies from fatigue of carrying such huge amounts of wool or because they cannot move and eat because of the wool hindering every possible movement. Crazy right?
So yeah, shaving sheep is good for them. It doesn't harm or hurt the sheep, and instead helps the sheep live longer. Kind of a unique win-win system.
