Preamble: How old is our civilization? The answer to this question keeps changing over the last 2,000 years and will continue to change as we learn more and more about “our past”. One thing is clear – our “civilization” isn’t the first to have existed on this planet.

Just how many civilizations existed before us? The “oldest” civilization that is widely accepted at this time is the Sumerian which is believed to have existed around 4000 BC. Not everyone agrees though since several other pieces of “history” are not accounted for. The giants mentioned in the bible, the “fluvial” erosion in the body of the Sphinx in Egypt that could not have occurred before 10,000 BC, the Nephilim mentioned in Genesis (6:4) who took earthy women for wives who gave birth to the “giants”, the Anunnakis - believed to have created humans by altering ape’s DNA and ruled over earth for over 400,000 years plus the recent discovery of a 700,000-Year-Old Stone Tools found in the Philippines used to butcher a Rhino.

History as we know it is incomplete and convoluted with mythology. But advances in technology is allowing us to separate history from myths.

Who or what created us and for what purpose? I think this is the ultimate riddle that sentient beings like us should strive to get an answer for. Imagine that you woke up one day with no memory of who you are. Would you not spend the rest of your life finding out who you really are, who your parents were, whether you have a family etc.? In a way, this is what happened to us. We forgot. Or maybe something tricked us to forget our true nature and our rightful place in the universe.

It is clear that "higher knowledge" has been deliberately hidden from us for thousands of years. Therefore, you and me are beholden to uncover and bring this information out to enlighten the world. To end the battle between knowledge and ignorance. To free us from the obstruction caused by established dogmas and lies; for this knowledge could lead us to a greater understanding of our universe and of ourselves.

We have heard of the great remains of ancient megalithic structures in the Peruvian peninsula like the Machu Picchu, Sacsayhuamán, Nazca Lines, and the Cusco ruins. However, there is another less popular site called the Chavin De Huantar which is as enigmatic than the other ruins.

Chavín de Huántar is an archaeological site containing ruins and artifacts constructed beginning at least by 3000 BC and occupied by later cultures until around 400-500 BC by the Chavín, a major pre-Inca culture. The site is located in the Ancash Region of Peru, 250 kilometers (160 mi) north of Lima, at an elevation of 3,180 meters (10,430 ft), east of the Cordillera Blanca at the start of the Conchucos Valley.

The Old Temple, constructed early in the site’s history, was an inward-facing structure composed primarily of passageways built around a circular courtyard. The structure contained obelisks and stone monuments with relief carvings depicting jaguars, caimans, and other forms with anthropomorphic features.source: latinamericanstudies.org

The materials used at this site baffles archaeologists - huge granite stones, fitted neatly against each other like melting butter and connect them together. The engineering feat is similar to that of Sacsayhuamán but the stones are much bigger.

For reasons not yet totally clear, during the ninth century BC the large temples on the coast were abandoned for good while two centers in the Highlands –probably oracles- gained the devotion of people both from the coast and highlands. They were Kunturwasi in Cajamarca and Chavín, in Ancash.

The carvings and sculptures in the ruins are astounding. One shows two mythical bird-tailed alligators of opposite sex joined in unnatural intercourse and they seem to exchange body fluids flowing from their mouths, noses and genitals depicted as serpents. Another couple of supernatural beings guards the entrance to the New Temple. Both are winged beings and of opposite sex: the male deity is shown as a hawk and the female as an eagle. Different classes of lesser gods are also represented in the Tello Obelisk.

What puzzles historians and archaeologists is its location: it's in the middle of nowhere, inaccessible by land and by water. The structure is in the high mountains and archeologists have no idea who constructed this building. There is no records of any civilization of people that inhabited the area.

Why would anyone build such a structure and for what purpose?

Is this the structure describe by Ezekiel in the Bible?

The book of Ezekiel closes with a vision of a temple and its associated rituals. In chapter 40, the prophet is transported in vision from his home among the exiles in Babylon to Israel, where a divine messenger holding a measuring rod appears to him. The messenger gives Ezekiel a tour of the temple, measuring the various walls, gates, and courts. At one point, the glory of the Lord, which was seen departing from the temple in an earlier vision (chap. 10), is seen returning to inhabit the temple (43:1–4).

6 While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple. 7 He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. The people of Israel will never again defile my holy name—neither they nor their kings—by their prostitution and the funeral offerings[b] for their kings at their death.[c] 8 When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger. 9 Now let them put away from me their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings, and I will live among them forever.

10 “Son of man, describe the temple to the people of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their sins. Let them consider its perfection, 11 and if they are ashamed of all they have done, make known to them the design of the temple—its arrangement, its exits and entrances—its whole design and all its regulations[d] and laws. Write these down before them so that they may be faithful to its design and follow all its regulations.

12 “This is the law of the temple: All the surrounding area on top of the mountain will be most holy. Such is the law of the temple.

13 “These are the measurements of the altar in long cubits,[e] that cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth: Its gutter is a cubit deep and a cubit wide, with a rim of one span[f] around the edge. And this is the height of the altar: 14 From the gutter on the ground up to the lower ledge that goes around the altar it is two cubits high, and the ledge is a cubit wide.[g] From this lower ledge to the upper ledge that goes around the altar it is four cubits high, and that ledge is also a cubit wide.[h] 15 Above that, the altar hearth is four cubits high, and four horns project upward from the hearth. 16 The altar hearth is square, twelve cubits[i] long and twelve cubits wide. 17 The upper ledge also is square, fourteen cubits[j] long and fourteen cubits wide. All around the altar is a gutter of one cubit with a rim of half a cubit.[k] The steps of the altar face east.”

18 Then he said to me, “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: These will be the regulations for sacrificing burnt offerings and splashing blood against the altar when it is built: 19 You are to give a young bull as a sin offering[l] to the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok, who come near to minister before me, declares the Sovereign Lord. 20 You are to take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar and on the four corners of the upper ledge and all around the rim, and so purify the altar and make atonement for it. 21 You are to take the bull for the sin offering and burn it in the designated part of the temple area outside the sanctuary.

22 “On the second day you are to offer a male goat without defect for a sin offering, and the altar is to be purified as it was purified with the bull. 23 When you have finished purifying it, you are to offer a young bull and a ram from the flock, both without defect. 24 You are to offer them before the Lord, and the priests are to sprinkle salt on them and sacrifice them as a burnt offering to the Lord.

25 “For seven days you are to provide a male goat daily for a sin offering; you are also to provide a young bull and a ram from the flock, both without defect. 26 For seven days they are to make atonement for the altar and cleanse it; thus they will dedicate it. 27 At the end of these days, from the eighth day on, the priests are to present your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings on the altar. Then I will accept you, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Being Peruvian, I have been in Chavin de Huantar a couple of times. The trip to the place is long and very far away of a major town. As far as I remember, the temple was buried before it was "rediscovered" in the early 1900's. I did not know about the possible reference by Ezekiel in the Bible.

that's cool. Having the opportunity to travel to South America multiple times a year in my previous job, I've planed multiple times to visit these ancients in Peru but failed. I hope someday I could.

If you ever do travel, please let me know so that I can help you finding your way. There are those sites and others. Peru is very rich in ancient and mysterious sites. One of the ones which I think is baffling is Ollantaytambo. The motifs on the stone are so weathered that they speak of a very old age. depicted as serpents

There has been many others here writing of a group of reptiles they call Vril, and in the posts they have pointed out the vast amount of items from antiquity of reptile beings, many of whom were worshiped. Not sure what to make of it, as one does have to wonder why such images would even be created.

This reptile beings still escapes me. Some say the Annunaki's true image were reptile-like but the books of Sitchin disputes this claim describing the Annunaki e.g. Enlil and Enki as white-haired gorgeous beings. The writings of Hermes also mentions these Reptiles who took over the leadership and men and misguided them. The Mayans for example based on my research was deceived by these reptiles after their true god left but promise to return. That's when the Mayans started to practice human sacrifice. These reptiles with the physical appearance of there former gods required them to sacrifices virgins and new-borns. They were brutally murdered, some their beating hearts were put on altars to appease these false gods. Who these serpents are is still an enigma to me.

Based on the plethora of posts here at Steemit (and the outside sites they often reference) it is being said that these serpent beings lived here before the Annunaki came. There is a thought (based on many assertions from a variety of sourced) that these beings are still running the world from underground bases, and shared the technology that grew so quickly starting in WW2.
