FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE - ETYMOLOGY of the WORD "GOD"

in #knowledge6 years ago

Preamble: How old is our civilization? The answer to this question keeps changing over the last 2,000 years and will continue to change as we learn more and more about “our past”. One thing is clear – our “civilization” isn’t the first to have existed on this planet.

Just how many civilizations existed before us? The “oldest” civilization that is widely accepted at this time is the Sumerian which is believed to have existed around 4000 BC. Not everyone agrees though since several other pieces of “history” are not accounted for. The giants mentioned in the bible, the “fluvial” erosion in the body of the Sphinx in Egypt that could not have occurred before 10,000 BC, the Nephilim mentioned in Genesis (6:4) who took earthy women for wives who gave birth to the “giants”, the Anunnakis - believed to have created humans by altering ape’s DNA and ruled over earth for over 400,000 years plus the recent discovery of a 700,000-Year-Old Stone Tools found in the Philippines used to butcher a Rhino.

History as we know it is incomplete and convoluted with mythology. But advances in technology is allowing us to separate history from myths.

Who or what created us and for what purpose? I think this is the ultimate riddle that sentient beings like us should strive to get an answer for. Imagine that you woke up one day with no memory of who you are. Would you not spend the rest of your life finding out who you really are, who your parents were, whether you have a family etc.? In a way, this is what happened to us. We forgot. Or maybe something tricked us to forget our true nature and our rightful place in the universe.

It is clear that "higher knowledge" has been deliberately hidden from us for thousands of years. Therefore, you and me are beholden to uncover and bring this information out to enlighten the world. To end the battle between knowledge and ignorance. To free us from the obstruction caused by established dogmas and lies; for this knowledge could lead us to a greater understanding of our universe and of ourselves.

I've always wondered how and where the word "God" originated. If the Tower of Babel is a historical event as portrayed in the Bible, and if the Sumerian tablets are the oldest form of writing, then the word "God" or "god" must have originated in Sumeria.

Merriam-Webster dictionary has the following definition of the word "god":

1 capitalized : the supreme or ultimate reality: such as:

a : the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe
b Christian Science: the incorporeal divine Principle ruling over all as eternal Spirit : infinite Mind.

2 : a being or object believed to have more than natural attributes and powers and to require human worship; specifically one controlling a particular aspect or part of reality Greek gods of love and war.

And provides a lousy etymology: Old English, of Germanic origin; related to Dutch "god" and German "Gott".

The Sumerian Origin

The word "god" in the Sumerian language is closely associated with "DINGIR". It is represented by a symbol that looks like a crude drawing of a star (see below). The character has evolved over time as more and more civilizations developed and adopted the language or symbol:

The Sumerian cuneiform (DIĜIR) by itself represents the Sumerian word for “sky” or “heaven”. It was also used as the ideogram for An or Anu the supreme leader of the Nibirians (also called the Annunaki). In most Sumerian tablets, the name of Annunaki leaders like Anu and his two sons - Enlil and Enki - among others are prefixed with this symbol. I some tablets, the symbol is represented by the letter "d" which is superscripted before the name. The name "Enki" for example would look like dEnki.

If the original meaning of the "DINGIR" is Sky or Heaven, how did it evolved to mean "god"? Was it due to misinterpretation of the Sumerian tablets? Could it be because of a code or rule imposed by the Annunaki over their human slaves?

The word "Anunnaki" literally translates to “those who Anu sent from heaven to earth”. The word "Igigi" literally means “those who Anu sent from heaven to mars”. In other words, Nibirians on Earth were called Annunaki and those on Mars were called Igigi. And we now know that there were 600 Annunaki and 300 Igigi that came down to mine for gold.

Many historians and archeologists, however, now use these two words interchangeably not knowing their true origin. If this error is not corrected, the next generation would perpetuate this etymological error. This demonstrates how a generation could easily lose the original meaning of a word through misinformation or misinterpretation.

Could the word "god" suffered the same fate?

It's important to note that over time, different civilization around the world had coined their own word for "Annunaki". The word "ELOHEEM" in the bible which originally means “These Beings” is one of them. In Ashuric/Syriac (Arabic) language, they are called "Jabaariyn" meaning “the mighty ones”. In Aramic (Hebrew) is "Gibborim" meaning “The Mighty or Majestic ones”. They are also called NETERU - in Egyptian. Note that all of these words are plural.

The cuneiform ideograms used to represent "Dingir" associate the idea of a god with the heavens. This implies that the term is essentially spatial, that the idea of a god in Mesopotamia originally had more to do with location than with essence. The gods are those beings that live in heaven, not on earth where human beings live.

But what or where is "heaven"?

Again, "DINGIR" means heaven or sky and the word is used to describe spatial rather than essence. So when the primitive people on earth saw beings descending from the sky in their spacecraft, it would be logical to call them those who came from heaven or the sky. Imagine people in the remote part of Africa who first saw rockets or space shuttle descending from the heaven - how do you think they would call these things and the beings onboard?

In fact, records show that early humans call the Annunaki as "The Shining Ones" because of their spacecraft and spacesuit that shines brightly due it the heat and light emitted by them and due to sunlight's reflection. A similar reaction was made by the Incas the first time they saw the Francisco Pizarro and his men wearing their knight's "shining" armor.

So it appears that "god" means those that descend from the sky. If we stay true to this definition, then our present civilization have already and continuously making millions of gods every day. Every time we land our airplanes, rockets and space shuttles hundreds of gods step out of the aircraft on a daily basis.

Could it be because of a code or rule imposed by the Annunaki over their human slaves?

I lean towards this explanation. What better way to control the worker cattle than instill the idea they are gods in us. We were created as expendable beings, and their willingness to destroy us (as well as other animals) in the flood shows they have little regard fro creatures they feel beneath them, much the same as many humans today. Perhaps humanity got that trait from them in the DNA mixing they did to us.

makes sense and probably the most plausible explanation.

Hi @sandalphon. I think we have similar minds and we like these type of subjects. I enjoy very much your posts. One day I will do more than comment and will write my own articles like you.
Etymology is a beautiful science and I will like to include as a comment my Spanish/Latin background. In Spanish the word for God is "Dios". This word is a direct descendant from the Latin word "Deus" and the Greek word "Theos". Zeus is also related to these words. These words are, at the same time derived from the Sanskrit word "Dyaus", which means sky. Now, gods and goddesses have always existed and the usual is that there is a masculine aspect (the one who seeds) and a feminine (the one who receives). In the case of the ancestral cultures the one who seeds is the father sky and the the one who receives is the mother earth. From there you have the "Dyaus Pitr" of the Vedic pantheon. Now "Dyaus Pitr" sounds very much like "Jupiter" and there is the connection between Zeus and Jupiter.

Interesting analogy and similarity with that of Sumerian. Thanks for sharing.
