North Koreans face deportation in Trudeau's Canada, report says
North Korea is arguably the most tyrannical and suppressive nations on the planet. Yet North Korean asylum seekers are facing the prospects of deportation from Canada.
Where will they go? As in the article, South Korea isn’t safe for them due to the threat of North Korean spies.
Ultimately the government has the power (and the right) to decide who comes into and who gets to stay in Canada. However it’s incredibly disingenuous for Trudeau to do one thing when the cameras are rolling and another behind closed doors.
This is a messy situation. Still I hope that the North Korean asylum seekers will be safe in the end.
북한은 틀림없이 지구상에서 가장 폭압적이고 억압적인 국가입니다. 그러나 북한 망명자들은 캐나다에서 추방 될 전망에 직면 해있다.

The report says the people potentially being deported lied on their application forms. It’s possible this is just an automatic process that happens regardless of where you are from.
Hopefully now that this is getting attention they will make exceptions considering the alternative.
