COROMOTO LAGOON
In Merida we can find many beautiful places, but especially we can enjoy the Sierra Nevada National Park, place of the highest mountains in the country and the most beautiful landscapes and also with spectacular rivers and lagoons.
Today I want to introduce you to a favorite place for mountaineers and nature lovers which is La Laguna Coromoto, beautiful place which we can get from the recreational park the mucuy making an exciting 8 km walk through the cloud forest , rivers, wells and waterfalls. Until arriving at the coromoto lagoon.
This place lends itself to go as a group and family to camp and enjoy, but of course it is not an easy route, it is recommended to be in very good physical condition and more if they carry their heavy backpacks with all the necessary equipment to spend several nights.
The Coromoto Lagoon is a key place and can be lent as a crossroads to reach other incredible places that the national park offers, some of these places are Laguna Verde, Laguna el Serrano, Coronado Glacier and Humboldt Peak to name a few. But from these places we will speak on a next occasion.
