Cayena
(Hibiscus rosa_sinesis)
Esta planta es originaria de China y recibe numerosos nombres como cayena, rosa de china o cardenal. Su nombre Científico es “Hibiscus rosa-sinensis”
Esta es una planta cultivada desde tiempos remotos para usos, ornamental, alimentario y medicinal, es muy considerada especialmente en jardinería por la gran belleza y las flores son de diferentes variedad y color entre ellas encontramos blanco, rojo, amarillo, naranjas, rosadas y algunas combinadas. Esta planta puede llegar a alcanzar los 3 metros de altura.
Se le da un uso especialmente ornamental, muchas las siembran alrededor de la casa, porque sirve para proteger de los ruidos de los carros. Es una planta que es muy fácil de cuidar y es de poco riego se poda para darle una bella presentación.
En la medicina:
Las flores de esta planta se usan para:
- El insomnio
- Los nervios
- Como expectorante
- Alivian las úlceras gástricas.
- Para gripe y resfriados
Las hojas se usan para tratar:
- La caspa
- La alopecia.
- Calvicie
- Caída del pelo

Very informative posting @daysiselena 😊I love learning more about the medicinal properties of some plants. I had heard of some of these uses. I know it makes an amazing tea.
