Overlooking Rocky Mountain National Park - Colorado

Hey Steemit world.

Last summer, I took a trip with two friends to Colorado for a few weeks. Let's call my friends Aaron and Josh (mostly because that's their actual names). We had all planned time in the summer to visit and explore Central Colorado (focusing on Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park, Aspen, and a few other spots). I brought along two cameras, my Canon 6d with a Rokinon 24mm and a Canon 50mm lens, along with my Canon T2i and a Canon 20-35mm lens (that I hated). While we were at RMNP, we stopped at a lookout and I set up my 6D for a timelapse. I took my "backup" camera, and Josh and I decided to go explore up on the rocks, while Aaron stayed back at the car doing some GoPro stuff. Anyways, while we were up there a big fog came in, and the sun went just behind that mountain. I knew I didn't have time to go grab my good camera, so I quickly told Josh to go out on that rock and "survey his kingdom". I knew I wanted this picture to be a really high-quality photo, so I decided to do a manual panorama to both make it super HQ as well as get the whole scene in without distortion. I'll be doing a tutorial on manual panoramas later, if you're interested. So, the shot that I took with my backup camera and the lens that I hated ended up probably being my favorite shot from that whole trip.

Like I said, I'll be posting some tutorials soon, along with more photos from other projects. Thanks for reading.

Merry Christmas!!
