La Grande Cascade - Mortain

For today’s post I’ve included an early effort at long exposure photography. Shot in Lower Normandy, France I woke early and made the trip to what is normally a busy tourist spot to find that I was the only one there at such an early hour. The early morning light meant I could achieve the shutter speeds necessary without needing ND filters. That was fortuitous because back then I had no idea what an ND filter was!         Beautiful shot :) what shutter speed did you use? And how early did you have to get there at?! Haha

        Thank you for your comment. I've just checked and the exposure on that one was 30s at f11 so there wasn't much light about. As I recall I was there before sunrise to set-up.

            That's a cracking shot John, love the rocks in the fore-ground really gives the image some depth, great long exposure, you've nailed that one !!
