Bear Lake on a stormy afternoon
This was taken at Bear Lake, a glacier formed alpine lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, right before those clouds over the mountains started spitting lightning and rain. Bear Lake is a neat place to visit (not to mention the starting point for a bunch of hiking trails) but good luck getting there in the summer. Every time I went I had to park elsewhere and shuttle over, but the views there and on up the trails were definitely worth it. Just be sure if you visit to pack a rain jacket.

How is the quiet sound up there? Do you hear anything?
Thunder. You hear lots of thunder there (at least during the summer, it rained on me every time I was there) but other than that its rather calm and quiet and peaceful. There's also trails leaving from there that go to other lakes higher up that are even more so.
Thanks for the information! I hope to go there one day!
