Nature Photography: Almond Trees In Blossom

The flowering of almond trees is one of my favourite moments that mother nature offers every year. In the three colors, white, blue and pink, the blossoming almond trees anticipate spring when winter is not over yet. Here in Australia, usually it takes place during the months of September and October.

The flowering almond tree is also an image that has been recreated by painters throughout history, like Vincent Van Gogh, who painted "Almond Blossom" in 1890. That was the gift of Van Gogh to his brother Theo, who had just had a newborn, Vincet Willem.
