Whalers Bay on Deception Island from Neptunes window

Whalers bay is an active volcano in the South Shetland Islands. It was heavily used in the whaling days and the site itself close in 1931 due to a drop in whale oil prices. Since then the volcano has erupted 3 times, with the last time in 1971. This image is taken from a place called Neptunes window looking back into Whalers Bay.

It is quite rare to see this place in sunshine and no wind. Last time I was there it was blowing 70knots and was snowing very heavily AND this was in summer...
