Great Singapore Sale has sort of started in Singapore. It used to be a thing that last about one month when various shopping malls will all have sales promotion during the same period of time. In the past, we used to look forward to some good shopping deals. Great Singapore Sales has increased in the duration over the years which makes it less exciting. At the same time, more people are also shopping online and I think that also made Great Singapore Sale less exciting. In fact, even online retailers like Lazada (which is part of Alibaba) has started doing their own version of Great Singapore Sale. I think different cities have their own version of sales and that’s mostly in the summer months. If I remember correctly, Hong Kong and Malaysia have them in August. Do you still look forward to your local shopping mall sales? Or are you more like the lady I know of here who said she buys more than 60 items one month (if I remember correctly)? :-)
