Teenage Girls Are Not Toddlers [Part 1]

What I have noticed through the years is that the words “creepy,” “sick,” and “disgusting” appear to be the three favorite words of self-proclaimed child advocates and self-appointed pedo-experts whenever they are pervert-shaming a man who happens to be in an adult/adolescent relationship no matter how genuine or even abstinent the relationship is. Regardless of how arbitrary and subjective these words may be in their definitions, self-proclaimed child advocates and self-appointed pedo-experts will cheer on one another for branding someone with one of these insulting terms. However, if I were to direct one of these same three words at Levi Johnston or Isaac Frausto for doing what they did as teenagers to Bristol Palin and Maddie Lambert respectively as I have described in previous Steemit articles of mine, these same self-righteous do-gooders would accuse me of being politically incorrect inasmuch as, according to them, being minors at the time of their transgressions against these two girls somehow gives these two male subhumans a free pass to behave any way they please.

At the end of the day, teenage girls are not toddlers no matter how young they are, and they should never be viewed as such. At the same time, teenage girls should be empowered to bring legal actions against their deadbeat teenage baby daddies regardless of whether they are legally adults or minors, and the paternal grandparents should have to pay child support until their son is capable of doing so. Otherwise, the deadbeat teenage baby daddies should be drafted into the military on their eighteenth birthday.  Unfortunately, there are societal fundamentalists who have an unrealistic perspective that American society can continue on addressing these issues with the same methodology and expect different results.

A.  The American Press And The American Media Don’t Seem To Care About The Actual Facts Whenever Someone Screams “Statutory Rape!”

Back in 2012, I remember a story that came out in the press and the media about a 41-year-old schoolteacher named James Hooker who left his wife and their three kids and went to live with an 18-year-old former female student named Jordan Powers in California.  Now, I’m not going to attempt to put goodie two shoes on this man, because it is clear that he is definitely not a poster boy for family values after what he did to his wife and their three kids. However, I’m also not going to demonize him either, because when you compare him with Levi Johnston and Isaac Frausto, he still comes out as the lesser of the three evils.

This same news story makes me think of the lyrics of the song “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” by a rock band that is ironically named The Police. Because Ginny Brown brought up this same song in her article titled “5 Ways People Justify Adults Having Sex with Minors – And Why It’s Still Not Okay,” which I challenged in my previous Steemit article titled “Jury Nullification’s Effects On Statutory Rape Cases,” I have embedded this same music video herein.

After Jordan Powers’s mother, Tammie Powers, found out about this relationship and living arrangement, she went on a crusade to get Mr. Hooker arrested and charged with a sex crime on the premise that he possibly had sexual contact with Jordan before she was of age. Tammie Powers even took her crusade one step further by pushing for legislation in her state (California) that would make it a crime for a high-school teacher to have a sexual relationship with his or her student even after that student has reached 18 years of age in that particular state jurisdiction.

I’m not going to praise Tammie Powers for her efforts to rake Mr. Hooker over the coals, but I am not going to disparage her either. I can understand a mother not wanting her teenage daughter to shack up with an older man who used to be her teacher and who also has a daughter almost the same age as her in view of the fact that he did leave his wife and kids and it would, therefore, make him suspicious of possibly doing the same thing to her teenage daughter in the future. However, if Tammie Powers had to have walked in Sarah Palin’s shoes for the past ten years and deal with all the shenanigans that Levi Johnston has dished out to Bristol Palin and the Palin family, I’m sure that she would realize how much better she has it in comparison with Sarah Palin. Never mind that Levi Johnston is virtually the same age as Bristol Palin.

Tammie Powers’s efforts to push for a law that would make it illegal for high-school teachers to have a sexual relationship with a student over 18 years of age is somewhat an unrealistic objective on her part or anyone’s part. Then again, there are self-proclaimed child advocates and self-appointed pedo-experts who believe that raising the statutory age of consent to 21 or 25 years old in every state jurisdiction would somehow turn our nation into some kind of virtuous world of age-appropriate perfection, when, in reality, it would only stretch out the authorities so thin that their efforts to protect children from real sexual predators would be severely hindered.  Such a goal on their part is a pipedream that probably will never come true.

I don’t know what became of Tammie Powers’s efforts to get this same law passed in California. However, if it were to be ratified, it could lead to a ludicrous situation such as a 51-year-old man going back to finish high school and getting his foxy 25-year-old female teacher arrested for statutory rape in the event that he hooked up with her despite that he would be way too old to be a victim of statutory rape. It’s kind of hokey when you think about it, but there are people like Tammie Powers who want to invite these kinds of problems into our society. In that event, such a law would become the laughingstock of the entire California criminal justice system. If this law was actually ratified, I don’t envision it surviving the test of time in that it would likely be confronted with prospective constitutional challenges at both the state and Federal level on a constant basis.

It surprises me that people are still bringing up this one story from 2012 to this very day, because there have been so many like it. I recently came across an article titled “Alpha Male Of The Month” that provided a more realistic description of that same story than the American press and the American media have done since 2012.  The author of it goes by the username of  “kingsoftheweb.”  The prose therein was a little rough around the edges and the author was brutally honest, but I do commend him that at least he was completely truthful about the events regarding this story.

I am not mindless that people are bound to have their opinions about this story that may not be so amicable, but I will not be convinced that James Hooker is or ever was a child molester or any kind of rapist. He never pushed Jordan Powers into anything in which she did not wish to be involved. She was 18 years old when she moved in with him. She wasn’t 8 years old despite whatever hysteria Tammie Powers has fed the public on the matter. Every femi-Nazi warrior and mangina sellout jumped onto this same bandwagon as Tammie Powers to destroy this man, and I’m not saying that he should not have at least expected these repercussions to go along with the territory. However, a great amount of time and money was needlessly expended in destroying this man’s life and future.

First of all, Nancy Grace sunk her teeth into this same sex scandal, so to speak. She misrepresented Mr. Hooker as the next Marquis de Sade. Second of all, Gloria Allred, who has been notorious for putting politics before the law in her legal practice, zeroed in on him and dug up a tryst he had with a 17-year-old girl back when he was only in his twenties, so that she could bring about a court action against him that was already time-barred. He was probably not the first twenty-something-year-old man this woman had ever hooked up with during her teenage years, and he probably would not be the last. After Mr. Hooker had moved on, this same woman, who would have been in her thirties by 2012, likely got dollar signs in her eyes after Ms. Allred approached her to bring a court action against him.  Ms. Allred has developed her reputation as an ambulance chaser in recent years.

Now, don’t ever think that I don’t take the subject of sexual assault seriously, because I do. When I was not even yet a teenager, I once saw this one movie titled Town Without Pity on television about a group of American military men who gang-raped a 16-year-old girl in Germany, and the rape scene in it nearly put tears into my eyes. What made it even more horrifying was that this young girl was made to relive the rape all over again at trial. Kirk Douglas played the role of these rapists’ criminal defense attorney. After seeing this movie, I later discovered that this film was released clear back in 1961, which was before I was born and likely before most of you reading my article here were born. In different conversations I had with different people who had lived during that time era, I found out that judges, courts and even juries had such an insensitive way of handling forcible rape cases involving underage female victims back in those days that it was disgraceful; and these young girls seldom ever got justice from the court system. This film may not have been based on a true story, but it accurately portrayed how the court system treated these kinds of crimes back in 1961.

I would not want for our society to go back to those days for any reason. However, nowadays it appears that our American court system has taken a swing to the extreme opposite in which a defendant is now guilty until proven innocent in even unlawful consensual carnal-knowledge cases as the one that was brought against Mr. Hooker based upon a tryst that he had with a 17-year-old girl back when he was barely old enough to run for Congress. We Americans could not be living in any more reactionary times than we are now.  All of the femi-Nazi extremists that were involved in bringing the law down on Mr. Hooker like a ton of bricks maliciously refused to differentiate him from the next Donald James Smith, even though the girl with whom he had sexual relations was well beyond her baby-teeth years and would not have suffered any kind of emotional scars or harm from the sexual relationship that a small child would have.  If any of these women were teleported back to 1961 when the movie titled Town Without Pity was first released, they would have been in for the culture shock of their life, to say the least.

Dr. Drew Pinsky really sensationalized this story about Mr. Hooker on the television show that he used to have on the cable television network Headline News (“HLN”).  He stated on one of his television shows that any 41-year-old man dating a woman under 30 years old is “creepy.” Oh, Dr. Drew. You are such a narrow-minded Puritan. What parallel universe do you come from? Many men over forty years old date women under 30 years old. In fact, there are probably more men over 40 years old here in our nation who date women younger than 30 years of age than men over 40 years old who date women their own age. All you have to do is surf around YouTube and watch some of the videos of men that age talking about their latest romantic pursuit. YouTuber Coach Red Pill is one of the most outspoken examples in that respect.

Dr. Drew? Have you never heard of the late Ric Ocasek of the rock band The Cars? He dated an 18-year-old magazine model when he was in his early forties back in 1984, and he and this woman eventually got married and lived happily ever after. I mention about his relationship with a younger woman in my Steemit article titled “Are All Teenage Fathers Pedophiles?”

Dr. Drew commented that when Jordan Powers gets to be in her forties, she is going to ask how anyone in their forties could ever have become involved with an 18-year-old girl. Dr. Drew? How do you know what she will be thinking when she is in her forties? How do you even know that anyone here in our nation will still think as backwards as you do when she gets to be in her forties? Dr. Drew’s show eventually turns into a pedophile-panic political campaign, when Dr. Drew should know better than to slander someone in that manner. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (“DSM-5”), none of Mr. Hooker’s actions, as naughty as they may have been in a general sense, were related to pedophilia in any manner inasmuch as no prepubescent child was involved in his non-Platonic pursuits.

An African-American woman on that show whose name is not disclosed in the clip speculates on whether the sexual activity between Mr. Hooker and Jordan Powers could have begun before Jordan Powers was of age. However, every criminal suspect is innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt in a court of law. Also, as I said in my previous Steemit article titled “Jury Nullification’s Effects On Statutory Rape Cases,” a jury also has the right to acquit a defendant in a statutory-rape case even if that defendant is guilty of the criminal offense.

Cooper Lawrence shoots her mouth off on that show and slanders Mr. Hooker by implying that he is a pedophile, and she makes the statement that Jordan Powers could look back on her relationship with Mr. Hooker and say, “What was I thinking? He’s so creepy.” Ms. Lawrence does nothing to hide the fact that she is another one of those self-appointed pedo-experts who love words like “creepy,” “sick,” and “disgusting” whenever they get the urge to pervert-shame a man whom they have never met. Well, I would have to say that Bristol Palin would have more reason to say something like that in the future or even now regarding Levi Johnston. Levi Johnston actually raped Bristol Palin when she was still a teenager in high school, whereas Mr. Hooker never harmed Jordan Powers in any manner. Of course, if I were to present this challenge to Ms. Cooper, she would likely make excuses for Levi Johnston and ramble on how about he was just a boy back then.

Ms. Lawrence? What gives you the right to redefine rape or even pedophilia any way you please? You are the author of “The Yoga Club,” but I’ve never heard of your book; and unknown authors like you always seem to have a mouthful to say about controversial topics of this nature that you’re not really qualified to discuss. You claim that you base your derogatory statements about Mr. Hooker on research, but you never specify the origins of this research and you never provide any names of who performed this so-called research.

Ms. Lawrence? You are a nobody who wants to be a somebody and will never really be anybody. You’re just another femi-Nazi extremist who is wrongfully attempting to expand the definition of pedophilia to suit your own fundamentalist agenda to mold our culture into your make-believe world of age-appropriate perfection. You believe that 18 years old is such an innocent and gullible age, but you will likely not be engaging in that flawed thought process if the day ever comes that a teenage boy puts a gun to your head and demands more from you than just your money. And, no. I would never wish such a horrendous fate on you or anyone, but your refusal to live in the real world is what could really cause you problems in the future in that respect.

Let me put it this way, Ms. Lawrence. When Levi Johnston raped Bristol Palin when she was drunk and unconscious so many years ago, his actions were not that of an innocent, gullible, little boy despite that he was a teenager at the time. What he did was reprehensible, and it infuriates me that there are actually people in the television industry who would defend this piece of human garbage. I would prefer that James Hooker be my next-door neighbor any day of the week rather than Levi Johnston live anywhere in my community for even one second, because I know that at least Mr. Hooker would never force himself on any young girl or woman. It even makes me sick to think that there are middle-aged women in the Me Too Movement who even fantasize about going to bed with Levi Johnston when they know that he is a rapist who got away with what he did to Bristol Palin.  Joy Behar is one of them.

Now, I completely get what Dr. Drew said about a schoolteacher having a call of duty to establish certain boundaries between him and his students that he should never cross. I can appreciate the argument that youngsters go to school to learn rather than to have affairs with their teachers, and I would never encourage any schoolteacher to have a liaison with a student. However, Dr. Drew and his panel of guests continued to describe James Hooker and Jordan Powers as though Mr. Hooker was a big man who grabbed a little toddler girl off of a playground. Not only is this kind of rhetoric misleading, it is also a form of character assassination. Also, I would like to stress that there have been other similar incidents to a much greater extreme that had happy endings.  Therefore, there are exceptions to every rule no matter how deeply it is written in stone.

When Dr. Drew interviewed Jordan Powers’s mother, Tammie Powers, he allowed for her to use all the cliché and lame arguments to support her belief that Mr. Hooker was a sexual predator. For example, she continued to use words like “pedophile” and “predator,” when her daughter was only two years shy of being in her twenties. Now, I realize that mothers can become easily sentimental and emotional about their adult kids and fall easily into the mindset that their adult son or daughter is still in diapers. However, Dr. Drew has read the DSM-5, which at the time would have been the DSM-4 or the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition; and as a mental-health professional, he should have known that it was wrong for him not to set this woman straight on what the actual definitions of pedophilia and predation are. He even egged her on by agreeing with everything she said, and he invited some nameless charlatan on his television show to shower his audience with junk science regarding the topic. Dr. Drew Pinsky’s television show eventually went off the air from HLN in 2016. However, it was rumored that he was fired because of statements he had made on camera. My response to that rumor is that if it is true, he deserved it. He is what is commonly referred to as a sellout to the Puritanical Establishment rather than a mental-health professional who takes pride in his work. He may have the charisma to remain popular among his viewers, but he doesn’t seem to care about the truth or the actual facts so long as he is getting the Nielsen ratings that he wants whenever he gets the opportunity to be on camera.

If Dr. Drew really wanted to do something constructive to help out actual victims of child abuse, he would be taking action to seek reforms in the defective inheritance laws throughout our nation rather than waste his time focusing on teenage girls who are going to seek out relationships with older men rather than with boys their own age regardless of what the law or society has to say about it.  Tammie Powers might have been better off following that piece of advice of mine as well, because then she would at least ensure that her daughter, Jordan Powers, did not get left out of her biological father’s will once he died. She was never going to find a nice, young boy for her teenage daughter to replace James Hooker, because they do not exist in as large numbers as she has fooled herself into believing. Moreover, after her daughter turned eighteen, it was really no longer her decision to make for her daughter.
