The Law 律法

Law is generally not being perceived as positive although we cannot live without it in any society.
Law is necessary for maintaining order and preventing avoidable problems. For example, we need traffic law to maintain smooth traffic and prevent avoidable accidents.

However, there are people who try to avoid the law enforcement, and they perceive law as a restriction of their freedom. For example, I was once inside a taxi in a town in China. When I was buckling my safety belt, the driver told me no need to do so as the traffic police would not bother. Nevertheless, it does not matter whether there are police and traffic law or not, I always want to put on safety belt as a driver or passenger for my safety. Therefore, putting on safety belt is a good practice to be observed by both the drivers and passengers habitually and naturally. Whenever any driver or passenger has attained such habit, such person is indeed authentically free from such traffic law.

人通常不会把律法看为积极的，尽管在任何社会我们都不能没有律法。律法具有维持秩序和防止好些问题的作用。例如，我们需要交通法来维持交通秩序及防止不必要的交通意外。

然而，有些人试图避免面対执法，而他们也认为律法对自由是一种限制。例如，我曾经在中国一个小城乘坐过一部计程车。当我在车上要扣上安全带时，司机告诉我没有必要如此做，因为交警不会干扰。然而对我而言，无论是否有警察和交通法，作为驾驶员或乘客我都应该扣好安全带以保障个人的安全。而且，这也应该是一项自然和良好的习惯。任何司机或乘客拥有了这种习惯时，就这方面的律法而言他乃是自由的人。
