Wise Courage 明智的勇气

Almost no one can be successful without certain level of courage. A political reformer needs courage to effect a change. And a businessman cannot attain a good return without first the courage to seize the opportunity for a worthwhile investment. However, there are still many who fail even though they are courageous. Putting aside the uncontrollable factors in life, not only should successful people possess courage but also wisdom.

By having wise courage, it means that the people are able to make a bold move cautiously. Certain move can cause death without taking precautionary steps. It just happened in May 2018, a man approached a wounded bear to take a selfie was mauled to dead by the animal. He most probably could escape if there had been enough precautionary measures. Therefore, courage without wisdom may be perceived as foolishness.

Wise courage does imply a need of humility and advice. As no one can have enough insight for everything, it is therefore necessary to seek advice from good counsellors.
An ancient proverb has rightly stated: “Where there is no counsel, the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”

The world is sophisticated. And it is a blessing for a nation if her leaders are having wise courage and truly caring for the people.

如果缺乏一定的勇气，几乎没有人能成功。政治改革者需要勇气来实现变革。如果没有勇气抓住商机进行投资，一个商人就不可能获得好的利润。然而，即使有很多勇敢的人，其中仍然有不少人面対失败。抛开生活中人所无法控制的因素，成功人士不仅需要有勇气，还要有智慧。

人需要具有智慧的勇气，这意味着人能够谨慎地做出大胆的行动。某些缺少智慧的行动可能会导致死亡。就在近期，即2018年5月，一名男子曾走近一只受伤的熊以采取自拍，结果被该隻动物攻击而死。如果预先有足够的防範措施，他很可能会免除一死。因此，没有智慧的勇气可以被视为是愚蠢的。

明智的勇气还意味着需要谦卑和谘询。由于没有人能够洞悉每一件事情，所以有必要咨询好的顾问。诚如一句古老箴言：”無智謀，民就敗落； 謀士多，人便安居!”

这个世界已经非常复杂，如果一个国家的领袖们具有明智的勇气，并且会真正关心人民，这是一个有福的国家。
