Sechsfleck-Widderchen ■ Six-spot burnet
Zygaena filipendulae (Linnaeus, 1758)
Das Sechsfleck-Widderchen ist unter allen Widderchen am häufigsten anzutreffen. Ich kann es in vielen Lebensräumen entlang des Main und der Tauber finden. Am Abend sitzt es meistens gut sichtbar an Halmen oder auch Blüten. Zur fortgeschrittenen Stunde verspürt es wenig Neigung zum fliegen und ist für mich ein geduldiges Fotomotiv. Für eine Aufnahme wie die nachfolgende sind ein Stativ so wie eine Pflanzenklammer allerdings Pflicht.
The six-spot burnet is to be found most frequently among all Zygaena. I can find it in many habitats along the Main- and the Tauber River. In the evening it sits mostly well visibly at stalks or also blooms. At the advanced hour it feels little inclination to fly and is a patient photo motif for me. For a photo like the following one, a tripod like a plant clamp is obligatory.

Wow, beeindruckende Aufnahme!
Ein Widderchen durfte ich leider noch nicht in der Natur beobachten...
I met this moth for first time this year, an on first sight he fascinated me. Soon later I discovered he have prefix toxic talented. On my luck, I usually take all butterflkies and moths on my hands, but this one I skiped for unknown reason. Later I found out it is very toxic species, it releases the cyanide-containing fluid, it is a mechanism against potential predators. So beautiful but so dangerous! :)
This reads all very dangerous, but it is not, if you do not eat the insect. You can take it by the hand without hesitation. So dare you ;-)
