Giraffe World Kitchen - London Southend Airport, England - UK

After staying in England for the World Blockchain Forum, I flew out to Dublin from the London Southend Airport. While in the airport I stopped for lunch at the Giraffe Stop (Giraffe World Kitchen). It was a typical airport burger place with sub-par fast food, but it was all I needed to make it to the next destination.

The Giraffe World Kitchen serves all different kinds of burgers and sandwiches. They also had a refrigerator stocked with a nice drink selection. Near the condiment station was a pitcher full of fruit water. It was one of the only eating establishments in the terminal and it gets the job done.

I ordered the classic burger which consisted of a beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and special sauce. It was a hefty patty and I wasn't able to finish the full thing. The meat was not too flavorful either. It was pretty much exactly what you would expect from a burger in an airport terminal.

Sitting on the table next to the salt and pepper was a bottle of HP sauce. I have never heard of this before so I had to give it a go. It reminded me of a UK version of A1 sauce. Not really my favorite sauce topping.

Overall the Giraffe World Kitchen served up a solid lunch while waiting for my flight. It wasn't gourmet, but it was definitely better than a lot of fast food options.
