It's really laughable how the law thinks it's doing any good with these rules, though in reality they did get it right that a search should not be conducted. What they didn't get right is their position to be coercive in the first place and secondly that anyone lacking technical sophistication has anything significant of value to so called "national security".

The reality is that real hackers are miles ahead of law enforcement who have no chance in hell of forcing their will onto freedom lovers who are neck deep in understanding technology. All they can do is do damage to consenting slaves and then preen about how they're helping the public. Pathetic idiots is what they are. Technical disintermediation is about to render their BS moot.
