What is the true meaning of Freedom?
Freedom, generally, is having an ability to act or change without constraint. A thing is "free" if it can change its state easily and is not constrained in its present state. In philosophy and religion, it is associated with having free will and being without undue or unjust constraints, or enslavement, and is an idea closely related to the concept of liberty. A person has the freedom to do things that will not, in theory or in practice, be prevented by other forces. Outside of the human realm, freedom generally does not have this political or psychological dimension. A rusty lock might be oiled so that the key has freedom to turn, undergrowth may be hacked away to give a newly planted sapling freedom to grow, or a mathematician may study an equation having many degrees of freedom. In mechanical engineering, "freedom" describes the number of independent motions that are allowed to a body or system, which is generally referred to as degrees of freedom." WIKI
Can we attain true Freedom?
We can! But it is depend on what kind of freedom you wanted to!
In life, there is some degree of freedom indeed. When you are born you are independent to your parents and by that time, your freedom is to have attention and care of your parents!
When you grow in your childhood, your freedom is to attain knowledge that will be used for you for the rest of your journey in life. Still you are independent to your parents care! In this Childhood state and you ask freedom from your parents you will be lost in your journey in life.
Example; if you parents got divorce and you will be forced to choose which side you are going to live with, on that moment, you lost your freedom, freedom to have complete family.
Now you are matured in life, you want freedom to live freely or chased your ambition!
Freedom Depends on the cycle of your life. It evolves as you grow and matured! When you were a child you wanted is only toys, but now that you are matured you wanted money and power!
Freedom can be doing your passion. Passions to drive you and makes you complete and contended in life! Without contentment your life is in prison! When ambition is not fulfill you will regrets for the rest of your life.
The True Freedom is the having money and power!
The true freedom lies first of knowing what you are and who you are and what you really want!
Man was created with a missing piece and that makes everyone incomplete.
The True you is not a living man that have body that will die and decompose. The true you is light. You are the light, you are sons and daughter of light. You are not of this world so all worldly thing will never be yours and can't complete of your needs since your true you is not of this world!
To attain true Freedom is to know first who you are!

Freedom is you are free to say or do anything you want without hurting anyone's feelings. No one can impose restrictions on you. You enjoy the total freedom.
Freedom without restriction is no freedom!
Freedom without laws is not freedom
