So I Finally Watched Venom...
Venom, my all-time favorite Marvel hero because he's an anti-hero.
I love anti-heroes because they pretty much do shit they want, yet at the same time trying to do what's right to help others.
As a result, they hurt the bad guys, a lot and not jujst puss out by catching them and sending them to jail.
I went into the theatre with low expectations. The trailers for this movie were bad. Reviews so far are generally also bad.
My verdict: 5/10.
It's a fun movie with many flaws.
The script is unintentionally funny at certain parts.
The story progression is executed weirdly, like some parts are rushed.
The final fight scene is a CGI clusterfuck. It's too messy.
The post-credits scene, which hints at something powerful for comic book fans, is a big downer. It's basically Wodoy Harrelson in a wig looking like Ronald MacDonald.
And get this: The movie is actually produced better before Venom comes out i.e. before all the CGI is used.
The only saving grace for me is that Tom Hardy provided a decent performance and nailed the role pretty well.
So yeah, go watch this for a fun ride, but don't expect to be blown away. Certainly don't expect it to be Avengers.
