The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia said that they do not accept the language of ultimatums and accused the US of hypocrisy.
Russia will develop measures in response to the new us sanctions. This at a briefing in Moscow on Thursday, August 9, said the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
"The Russian side has repeatedly warned that the conversation from a position of strength, the language of ultimatums is useless and unpromising. The Russian side will study the response to the next unfriendly step by Washington. Against this background, the confirmation of the us administration about its readiness, however, to continue efforts to improve relations with Russia, looks just bizarre. Like that, you know, blatant hypocrisy," - said Zakharov.
Responding to accusations of Russia's involvement in the incident in Salisbury, Zakharova recalled that Russia has completely eliminated its chemical weapons reserves, unlike the United States.
"Against this background, these accusations are groundless and look just cynical," she said.
