MAMA
Mama,
For all times you look at yourself in the mirror, all you see are the wrinkles in your eyes but what I see is quite different; far more beautiful.
I see only the love you have poured to us, not even worrying if you have any left for yourself. Your untainted and tireless love taught us how to love and how it feels to be loved.
I see only the blood and sweat that have dripped in your skin for every second you spent making sure you’re raising us well, even the weariness of the clock can’t stop you from being a mother.
I see only the tears you never shed nor expressed to us and the countless times you told us you were okay even when you’re not, for all you wanted to show us was nothing but held courage. Even your broken smiles were still the brightest.
I see only the years you have sacrificed for us to be better —to feel stronger, to understand deeper , to believe bigger and to speak greater. You are the best.
and Mama,
You have healed our heartaches with your caress and put us into peace with your kiss. You were also wounded but you never bleed. Thank you for the strength.
You have look upon us all your life with those beautifully wrinkled eyes, without even sparing a time on looking at yourself. Time has aged you but never did your love.
Every single line in your face holds a hundred reasons why I love you, so don’t worry Mama, the wrinkles you see are nothing but another silhouette of you.
