Happiness is cumulative...
“Success in life could be defined as the continued expansion of happiness and the progressive realisation of worthy goals.”– Deepak Chopra
I have finally gotten around to reading some of Deepak Chopra's work, and although I am finding it a little challenging, i read the above sentence and thought it was wonderful. It has made me think of happiness as more than a single state, emotion or situation; happiness changes, grows and expands over time. Happiness is cumulative, and builds open itself. It's a pretty deep concept to ponder before your second cup of coffee, but it does make it taste a lot better..
Happiness comes from personal success. Success is the realization of worthy goals. People always seem to refer success to money. Success is just the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. It’s the teacher who is a teacher because she/he wants to be. The fireman whose dream was to fight fires. It’s the person who had a goal and went out and did it.
It's when we acknowledge this truth that we also then see how deeply unfulfilled and unhappy a lot of people are.
