Practising Open-Mindedness
Being open-minded, though beautiful and filled with enormous benefits is often times not easy to practice. It is well, much easier said than done!
But, all hope is not lost, because it's about "practising" and getting better not perfection. The goal is to make progress (which I believe is possible).

Here Are a Few Steps That Might Help You Practice Open-Mindedness more Often And Enjoy all Of Its Benefits (if you are wondering what these benefits are, you might wanna click here)
1. Be Intentional About It
You can't go far when you are disconnected from what you are trying to achieve. Being intentional allows you to be willing and also put in a conscious effort towards achieving your goal (which in this case is being more open).
2. Be Willing To Learn (And Be Attentive)
Your willingness to learn naturally opens your mind to new ideas, different views etc. Once you are able to ignite the fire of learning (which often times comes from curiosity) then you will be more open. We don't know it all, and besides life, for the most part, is about learning.

3. Don't Form Opinions Before Trying
We sometimes tend to judge things (or people) before seeing what really is in it but making an effort to see things for all that it is before forming our opinions will go a long way in helping us develop a more open mind.
4. Learn To View Thing Through Different Lenses
There are different angles through which we can view the same thing and when we try to exercise our ability to view things through different angles, then we begin to expand our mind and be more open to hearing and respecting different views.

Practising open-mindedness doesn't easy at all (though it does come to others naturally) but with constant practice, we can get better, which I believe will go a long way in making the world a safe place for most of us.
I really can't think of anything negative that comes from being open-minded, well, except if you mistake it to always agreeing and accepting all ideas of things you come across without proper research or conviction.
Being open-minded opens your heart to possibilities, Don't miss out on that.
